Prof Gregory Ibe
By JOHN NWOKOCHA
The stage is set for Saturday March11 when all good people of Abia and good conscience and lovers of Equity and Justice will make yet another important decision about who will rule their affairs for the next four years.
It is imperative to state that an opportunity beckons in the political atmosphere for all eligible voters in Abia to make a wise decision that will impact first, the overall economic and social progress of our state and the wellbeing, peace and progress of all citizens.
With God all things are possible.Without equivocation, Abians are believers of Almighty God. The good people of Abia literally trust in God in every situation and also believe that nothing is impossible for God to do. So also, the Professor Gregory Ikechuchwu Ibe Project is not impossible for God to do. Gregory Ibe, like Abia is in God’s own hands for the next for years, we all agreed.
Kudos for Abians for performing a commendable feat by supporting their son, Peter Obi in the presidential election on Saturday. This time around the opportunity opens to support em-masse, Greg Ibe, a worthy son of Abia.
Greg Ibe himself has made a wise decision by staying with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), on whose ticket he is contesting to be the next Governor of Abia State. Voting Greg Ibe as the next Governor of Abia is voting prosperity, progress, unity and secure future of Abians. APGA with a wise slogan “Onye aghala Nwanne ya”, literally means, “Be your brother’s keeper” is our own. It should be stressed that the APGA’s slogan means “Live and let Live”. Interestingly, this has been the lifestyle of Professor Greg Ibe. An accomplished industrialist, Greg Ibe has made a giant stride in investments that impact the lives of Abians in no little ways, over the past years. A philanthropist with milk of human kindness Ibe has touched lives in and around Abia in unmistakable manner. His inimitable humanitarianism is unimaginable. Little wonder Abians trooped out in their numbers expressing best wishes through their prayers for Ibe during his campaign rallies in all the 17 LGAs in the state. It is expected that same will replicate on Saturday March 11. Abians are enjoined to come out em-masse and vote Greg Ibe as Governor of Abia State., in order for a new dawn to begin in Abia.
Two areas are evident in Ibe’s philanthropism. These are education and health.
In education, it is incontestable that no one aspiring to become governor of the state or the past ones can be compared with Greg Ibe who has a famous record of offering 750 full scholarships in all fields of learning to Abians and non-Abians at the Gregory University, Uturu, which he founded. And in health, Greg Ibe has an unbeaten record of injecting live in the sick and hopeless indigents. This is not all he is offering the good people of Abia. Deserving of mention also are; Youth and Women empowerment, Enhanced Social Welfare, Infrastructural Development, Revenue Base Expansion and Enabling Environment for Investment. Unarguably, Greg Ibe is the only candidate with a robust agenda for Abians.
The multi-discipline educationist, has long before now demonstrated readiness for the job of governing Abia. Prof Ibe stands out among the contestants for the number 1 seat in the state.
His agenda for good governance for Abians which is encapsulated in the ‘Roadmap to a New Abia’ is a masterpiece by an erudite scholar with a clear vision to turn around Abia.
Abians, this is an epochal time in the annals of the history of the state.
Abia will be better under Prof Greg Ibe if we all come out and give him our collective mandate to lead the state for the next four years.
We all agree that Abia politics is incomplete with talking about the Abia Charter of Equity. This may be viewed at this point, as emotional investment. It is nevertheless a salient subject which throws itself up at no better time than now.
Going by the infallible wisdom of the founding fathers of Abia state which already established the ‘turn-after-turn’ approach of equity and justice, the turn of Isiukwuato zone should be supported by all well-meaning Abians. And Greg Ibe is the only candidate whom people of good conscience should support to govern Abia.
It is possible!
