As election results keep coming out from different locations and state of the federation, as well the election results of Kebbi Central Senatorial seat was also declared in favour of Sen. Muhammad Adamu Aliero with 126,588 votes against Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, who polled 92, 389 votes.
While declaring results, the Kebbi Central Senatorial District Returning Officer, Professor Abbas Yusuf Bazata, that, “I professor Abbas Yusuf Bazata as the returning officer of kebbi central senatorial district election held on Sunday 26 February declared as follows that Senator Muhammad Mainasara Adamu Aliero having scored 126,588 valid votes casted and won the highest number of votes, is hereby declared the winner of the said election and returned elected.”
However, Professor Abbas Yusuf Bazata further expressed that the remaining political parties’ candidate scored different votes under their political parties as declared. He said: “As the Returning Officer of Kebbi Central Senatorial District election, and the power vested in me, I hereby declared Senator Muhammad Mainasara Adamu Aliero winner of this election having scored the highest number of votes casted and returned elected, he declared.”
