The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has been declared the winner of the Saturday, February 25, presidential election in Gombe State.
Atiku polled a total number of 317,123 votes according to the results announced on Monday by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) collation officers for the 11 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Party (APC), Bola Tinubu, polled 146,977 votes as he emerged second in the state.
On the other hand, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, polled 26,160 votes, while the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, trailed with 10,520 votes.
The total number of registered voters in the state is 1,575,794, while the number of accredited voters is 542,997.
The total valid votes are 510,043 and the number of rejected votes is 23,735 and the total votes cast are 533,778.(The Guardian)
