Redesigned naira notes
A middle-aged married woman has reportedly fainted at a commercial bank in the Igbudu Market area.
She was said to be on a queue struggling to get cash along with scores of other customers.
Fortunately, the woman was said to be revived by fellow customers and security guards of the said commercial bank.
She was advised to go home for refreshments but went home empty-handed. The incident happened on Wednesday morning, February 22, 2023, according to Delta State News Bulletin.
In another development, a young man was reported to have collapsed at Eboh Road by Amoforitse Junction.
However, the case of the man could not be traced to Naira swap.
An eyewitness told Delta State News Bulletin that the man was trekking when he suddenly collapsed.
“We (residents) went to his rescue. Fortunately, he was still breathing. We rallied round and bought milk, bread, and cook eggs for him,” the eyewitness added.
The eyewitness further said that the man voraciously consumed the food items and that immediately he was revived.
However, a good commercial tricycle (keke) rider was said to have volunteered to give the man a free ride to his house.
Meanwhile, the naira scarcity seems to be getting worse in Warri South and Uvwie Local Government Areas.
There was an unprecedented crowd of customers in all the commercial banks monitored.
