The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) National Executive Committee (NEC) has ratified in its meeting to support the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming general elections.
In a unanimous decision by the entire house, the party announced on Thursday, February 16, 2023 that it will throw in the towel to ensure the success of PDP in Nigeria.
The NEC also ratified the election of a 13-member Board of Trustees (BOT) of the party to oversee its affairs after its inauguration.
Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantelle, the National Chairman of APM, said the decision was taken in the national interest and the interest of the party.
He recalled the earlier alliance in 2019 with APC that protected the party from being delisted by INEC out of the 90 political parties and reduced the number of political parties in Nigeria to 18.
He urged the entire structure of the APM from units, wards, local government and state level to extend their support and vote massively for the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the February 25 presidential election.
