The governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, has reiterated that he will industrialize and create wealth for the betterment of Ebonyians if he emerges as Governor on March 11, 2023.

Odii made this known on Friday at Amachi in Abakaliki Local Government Area of the state as part of his campaign rally tour across the state.

The guber candidate promised to restore peace in the State and called on the people to vote for PDP at all levels for quality education, and a reform of the civil service system.

He promised to run an all-inclusive government and enjoined the people to expect true transformation that would change the state from its current poverty level to prosperity.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Sam Egwu, former governor and serving senator, representing Ebonyi North Senatorial zone, stated that the party during the primary supported the guber ticket to the north but Odii emerged.

He said the PDP would not be violent to canvas for votes but to continue with persuasion and expressed confidence that they would emerge victorious at the polls while urging the people to support Odii for a better state for all.

The National vice chairman of the party southeast, Mr. Ali Odefa, commended the campaign rally team for overcoming all sorts of intimidation from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure smooth campaign activities.

He said Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii would guarantee good governance for the people and develop the State beyond its current state.

The wife of the guber candidate, Mrs. Deborah Ebele Odii urged the women to vote for her husband because of his passion to lift people’s lives to a better standard.

The acting party chairman, Mr. Ifeanyi Nworie, commended the mobilization of supporters for the rally and described it as a display of evidence for winning the election in the state.

“What we are seeing here is a clear indication that our candidate has already won the election.

“The governor of this state has left for APC but we are going to deliver a man that would liberate the State from the suffering of APC.

Chairman, PDP Abakaliki local government, Mr. Francis Alegu, said they are fully motivated to vote for all PDP candidates 100 percent.

The director of the women’s wing, Mrs. Vivian Chima, and Mrs. Patience Mbada, also spoke at the event and called on the women to use their voter’s cards wisely on election day by voting for credible candidates of the PDP.
