Senator Atai Aidoko Ali who represented Kogi east at the Senate both in the 7th and 8th Senate has finally picked the nomination form to run for the governorship slot of Kogi state under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) slated for November 2023.

Aidoko who was one of the early aspirants picked the nomination form along with his supporters across the state, stating his intentions to reposition the state that had found itself in a pitiable situation under APC.

Aidoko was a two-term member of the House of Representatives between 2007-2011 and 2011-2015 before moving up to the red chamber in 2015.

Senator Atai Aidoko had served at various committees at the green chamber. He was a former chairman, house committee on Federal Capital Territory, FCT, before joining the red chamber in 2015.

At the Senate, he served as member of various ad-hoc committees and rose to the position of chairman Senate committee on intergovernmental affairs at the 7th Senate and also became chairman Senate committee on Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, during the 8th Senate.
