. . . Visits Orhuwhorun traditional head, U.U.C and other places
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District, Mr. Peters Omaruaye, has stormed Udu Local Government Area of Delta State in continuation of his campaign. He is also using the tour to campaign for APGA candidates for various other positions in the forthcoming 2023 elections.
He was accompanied by other party candidates that included Olorogun Daniel Ekorhi, candidate for the Ughelli North, South, and Udu Federal Constituency, and Mr. Monday Okubio, candidate for the Udu State Constituency.
During his visit to the traditional head of Orhuwhorun and Okpoyovwi communities, Mr. Omaruaye informed the Ighowho Ughujowhovwo, the paramount leader, of his intention to represent the district in the Senate and sought his support.
Omaruaye during the January 31 visit praised the people of Udu for their truth worthiness and solid support for his political family since 2003, despite attempts by those in power to manipulate election results. He promised that with the introduction of the BVAS, their votes would count and that all constituency projects would be distributed equally among the eight local government areas in the district.
The senatorial candidate expressed joy and assured the people of Udu that he would do everything in his power to restore the beauty of the Delta Steel Company. He reminded the people of Udu of his company's role in interlocking the Emejor street 15 years ago, and pledged to bring that standard to bear in governance when elected.
The campaign team moved to Ukpiovwin community where they paid a courtesy visit to the
Union of Udu Communities (UUC), under the leadership of High Chief Godwin Jefia-Notomah, who is the President General of Udu kingdom. Also in attendance at the visit in Ukpiovwin was the umbrella body of youths in Udu.
Mr. Omaruaye and his Campaign Organization also paid their condolences to APGA Secretary in Ughelli South, Mr. Samson Igho, for the loss of his uncle and mother on the same day. They then visited Egini in Udu LGA to receive blessings from Chief Onorume Utoro.
The senatorial front-runner used the opportunity to inform the people about the APGA Agenda for the restoration of all that has been lost. The paramount head of Orhowhorun community and Udu leaders agreed to work with Ogboru and all APGA candidates in the upcoming election in February.
