Ahead of the 2023 general elections, staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State have commenced the screening exercise for ad-hoc staff.
A Delta State News Bulletin reports that the INEC Electoral Officer (EO) in charge of Ika North-East, Mrs. Nkechi Enemoh, disclosed while addressing newsmen that the screening exercise was to engage more hands to assist the commission in conducting the general elections.
Enemoh urged residents of Ika North-East who duly registered for their PVCs but have not collected them, to do so before the Sunday, January 29, 2023 deadline..
“Your PVCS are ready. If you are able to make out time to register, please also squeeze out time to come and collect them so that you will vote for the candidates of your choice,” she said.
The Electoral Officer commended the efforts of some stakeholders in the locality who, she noted, had resulted in improvement in the PVC collection in the area.
