A former Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State and Southwest geo-political zone respectively, Peter Anosike, has said that the ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Imo West, Senator Osita Izunaso has got some spiritual backing.

Speaking on the Supreme court nullification of the primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party,(PDP) which produced Hon. Jones Onyerere as the senatorial candidate for Imo West in the February National Assembly election, he said that as a God fearing man, God has started to pave the way for the emergence of Izunaso as the next senator for Orlu Zone with ease.

He likened the circumstance surrounding Izunaso to the fall of Babylon, the strongest kingdom in the ancient world that fell without anyone raising a finger.

According to him, whenever human beings are breaking their heads to achieve one ambition or the other, it is clear that God has no hand in it.

Anosike said that Senator Izunaso has done a lot for mankind, adding that God is now rewarding him.

“I see the Supreme Court nullification of the PDP senatorial candidate for Imo West who happens to be Izunaso’s main contender in the forthcoming election as an act of God. In Exodus 14:14, God said be still for I will fight for you. So, God is fighting for Osita Izunaso.

It Is said, give and it shall be given to you. He has sown in the lives of countless people, especially the downtrodden, and God has decided that it is time to reward him for his good works. I am conscious of the fact that Orlu Is no way half to where it is supposed to be with regard to development. When people hear that in the 23 years of democracy that Orlu sons have ruled for 19 years and counting or that out of the four governors that have ruled Imo state since the return of democracy in 999 that three come from Orlu, they would be having this imagination of a well-developed zone.

But the reality on ground tells a very different story. Orlu zone is still like a zone that has never produced a governor and the reason is because they have not had people who are development conscious. But with Izunaso who believes in people over profit and moral over money, things would be very different,” Anosike said.
