Speaking at their weekly meeting at the party’s secretariat, the association which comprise of people from South South, South East, Middle Belt and Arewa, also disowned some people who went and collected money from the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in order to endorse him.
They said that their votes for the 2023 presidential election were for the former Vice President and PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
According to them, after a careful study of the presidential candidates, they concluded that Alhaji Abubakar was the most qualified to lead Nigeria out of the current mess that the country was in.
The Chairman of the association, Chief Mrs Kate Onyechere, said that Nigerians were now dying silently as a result of suffering and hunger inflicted on them by the APC –led federal government.
She said that even a bag of rice has become far more expensive than the minimum wage.
Speaking further, she said that when average Nigerians struggle to buy food items, cooking them becomes even far more expensive because of high cost of kerosene and cooking gas.
She said that Non-Indigenes association in Lagos State was a political force currently spreading the message of hope in all the nooks and crannies of the country, preaching to Nigerians to reject APC and vote en masse for Alhaji Atiku Abubukar in the next presidential election.
In her contribution, the Vice Chairman of the organization, Dr Mrs. Emilia Ezeudo, advised Nigerians to make it a duty to vote during the coming presidential election.
According to her, they must not only vote, they should also stay behind to make sure that the BVAS captured their votes.
She said that Nigeria has never had it this bad before and, as such, all hands must be on deck to vote out APC.
Also contributing, the Chairman of Arewa Indigenes in the association, Alhaji Musa Buba, said that even though Atiku Abubakar has the best chance of winning the next presidential election, they must not fold their hands.
According to him, where elections are won are in the polling units, adding that every member of the association should go to his or her ward to mobilize the people to vote for Atiku Abubakar.
Representatives of the association came from all the 246 wards in Lagos State.
