The Provost, College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti, Dr (Mrs) Olajumoke Adebayo, has urged students of the institution to be diligent in their studies in order to excel and secure their future.

Dr Adebayo gave the charge on Friday 18th February 2022, while addressing matriculating students recently admitted into the College’s Five Schools, namely; School of Environmental Studies, School of Community and Public Health, School of Medical Laboratory & Imaging Sciences, School of Health Information Management and Biostatistics, School of Pharmacy, Dental Health & Ophthalmic Science, therapeutic & Intervention Science as well as the School of Basic Medical Sciences and General Studies.

The Provost, who noted that the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti has produced a long line of distinguished middle-level health professionals, teachers, administrators, political leaders and the clergy, assured matriculants that the Institution has qualified teachers and a conducive learning environment to make their Studentship worthwhile.

While noting that the College has a functional Entrepreneurship Center where Students can acquire additional skills that would make them become job providers and employers of labour, Dr Adebayo urged Parents to support the Institution Management’s “Friends of the College” Initiative, set up as an avenue that would afford Members of Staff, Friends, Parents,

Acquaintances and well-meaning individuals the opportunity to donate generously towards supporting tangible projects in the College.

She further noted efforts being put in place by her management with the support of the Governing Council, towards seeing the College transmute to a Polytechnic.
