AFCON Update: Chukwueze strikes early as Eagles begin Sudan’s demolition

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have taken an early lead in what is expected to be a clear victory over less fancied Sudan in in the team’s second game at Garoua at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2021 competition in Cameroun.

Right winger Samuel Chukwueze struck in the third minute to give the high-flying Eagles the lead.

The Nigerians are so far dominating the match but the mainly home-based Sudanese players are putting up a dogged fight as the first half wears on.

Nigerian gaffer Austin Eguaevon has maintained the same line-up that defeated much-hyped Egypt for the tie against Sudan.
