The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commended the Management and Staff of the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti (COHESTI) for their sustained efforts towards maintaining the high standard of the institution’s Computer Based Test (CBT) Center.

Giving the commendation, the JAMB Chief Technical Advisor, Dr. Ebenezer Olajuyigbe, noted that the College of Health Sciences and Technology Ijero-Ekiti had over the years remained consistent in making its CBT center suitable for JAMB candidates seeking admission to various institutions of higher learning across the Country.

Dr. Olajuyigbe, who was accompanied by the Ekiti State JAMB Coordinator, Mr. Hakeem Abdulhameed, and the State ICT Head, Mr Oluyomi Awe, while on inspection and accreditation tour to the College, described the yearly accreditation and re-accreditation of CBT centers across the Country as a necessary exercise, to ensure that prospective applicants to tertiary institutions are given the opportunity to sit for their examination seamlessly.

While describing the number of computer systems in the COHESTI CBT Centre as accurate, the JAMB representative however stressed the need for the College to provide an additional power generating set, while also making the verification room closer to the server room, as part of measures to guard against mechanical errors.

He also voiced the need to ensure that the centre’s CCTV Camera remained functional, as its importance cannot be overemphasized.

Responding, the Provost, Dr (Mrs) Cecilia Adebayo, who was also corroborated by the Registrar, Mrs Caroline Ogunsakin, commended the JAMB officials for the confidence reposed in the College, and assured that the recommendations made by the team would be duly implemented.

Other Management and Staff of the College who were on hand to receive the JAMB officials include; the College Bursar, Mrs Funmilayo Alonge; the Internal Auditor, Mr Taiwo Dosumu; COHESTI Director of ICT, Mr Olufemi Olubamise; COHESTI Deputy Director ICT, Mrs Phebean Ojo; Chairperson, Generator Committee, Mrs Bolanle Oludola; and a technical staff in the directorate, Mr Opemipo Olusegun, amongst others.
