Late former Anambra First Lady Njideka Ezeife
By CHARLES IWUOHA
The Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) has commiserated with former Governor of Anambra, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, over the death of his wife, Mrs Njideka Ezeife.
The Chairman of CLO in Anambra, Mr Vincent Ezekwueme, commiserated with the Ezeife family while speaking with newsmen in Enugu on Thursday.
He said: “We received with devastating and shocking disbelief the demise of your caring and compassionate wife and former First Lady of Anambra State and Matriarch of the Ezeife family, Mrs Njideka Ezeife.
“As First Lady of Anambra, she demonstrated absolute humility, integrity, selflessness and with great compassion for the oppressed, downtrodden and the poor.
“She was a pillar and part of the success story of the Ezeife administration.
“She was God fearing, hardworking, transparent and tolerant.”
The Anambra CLO boss urged Ezeife, family, her siblings, Igboukwu community, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra people and all her loved ones to take solace on the fact that while she was alive, she lived outstanding, remarkable and selfless life worthy of commendation and emulation.
Ezekwueme said: “The sorrow we bear and endure over the demise of our loved ones is the prize we must pay for having had them in our lives.
“May God forgive her shortcomings and accept her gentle and humble soul in paradise and give Okwadike, siblings and all those pained by her death the grace and fortitude to bear and endure the irreparable and irreplaceable loss.”
