Hazy weather

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted thick hazy weather across the country from Saturday till Monday.
NiMet’s weather outlook, received on Friday in Abuja, anticipated thick dust haze over the Northern region within the forecast period.
According to it, north central region is expected to experience moderate dust haze with horizontal visibility between 2,000m to 5,000m and localized visibility of less than or equal to 1,000m within forecast period.
“Moderate dust haze with horizontal visibility range between 2,000m and 5,000m. It is anticipated over inland cities of South with localized visibility of less than or equal to 1,000m.
“Early morning mist and fog are envisaged over the coastal cities while hazy skies are anticipated over the region during the afternoon hours.
“However, there are chances of a few thunderstorms over parts of Akwa Ibom and Cross River States,” it said.
According to NiMet, thick dust haze is expected over the Northern region on Sunday during the forecast period.
It envisaged moderate dust haze over the North central region with horizontal visibility in the range of 2,000m to 5,000m and localized visibility of less than or equal to 1,000m.
“Moderate dust haze with horizontal visibility range between 2,000m to 5,000m is expected over the inland cities of the South and localized visibility of less than or equal to 1,000m.
“Mist and fog are anticipated over the coastal region in the morning hours while hazy skies with patches of clouds are anticipated over the coastal cities during the afternoon period,” it said.
