Senator Uche Ekwunife, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, on Thursday commiserated with the former governor of old Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife (Okwadike), over the death of his wife, Mrs Njideka Ezeife, as tributes by eminent Nigerians pour in.
Mrs Ezeife, a former First Lady of Anambra State passed away after a brief illness in the United States of America.
Ekwunife paid Okwadike a condolence visit in his Abuja residence.
Condoling with the family, Ekwunife described Mrs Ezeife as a woman of great virtue who lived a life of humility and simplicity.
In her tribute, Ekwunife continued: "The former first lady and wife of our respected leader was an exemplary mother, loving wife and devoted Christian. Her demise is a great loss to the people of Igbo-Ukwu, Old Aguata and Anambra state in general."
Senator Ekwunife on behalf of her family and the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District commiserates with the entire Ezeife family over the loss of their matriarch.
She prays God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give those left to mourn her the courage to bear the irreparable loss.
