Former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, has congratulated the new paramount ruler of Igala kingdom, HRH Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa 11, on his successful beading and installation.
The former governor in a statement issued over the weekend prayed that the reign of the new Attah Igala will usher in more peaceful co-existence, progress and development of Igala kingdom.
He commended the people for resolving all differences peacefully and successfully enthroning a new ruler, noting that it showed “the level of cooperation and brotherhood that exist among the race”.
The Jakadan Sokoto noted the stool “is very significant to the socio-cultural, economic and political development of Igala kingdom in all ramifications”.
He appealed to all Igala people to rally round their ne monarch “to ensure the continued protection of the cultural heritage of Igala kingdom”.
