The Police on Friday said they would commence medical screening on Tuesday forsuccessful candidatesin the recently concluded Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the ongoing 2020 recruitment of Constables into the Force.

The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Mr Frank Mba, said this in a statement in Abuja.

He said the medical screening was the next stage of the recruitment process and would hold from Nov. 23 to Dec. 6.

Mba said the exercise would be conducted by the Nigeria Police Medical Services between 8a.m. and 3 p.m. daily at the designated Police clinics and hospitals in the 17 Police zonal commands across the country.

He called on candidates who participated in the CBT to check their application status on the recruitment portal, www.policerecruitment.gov.ng and print out their medical screening slip, if qualified.

According to him, candidates are to appear at the various screening venues in their clean white T-shirts and shorts.

He said National Identity Card/Slip and printout of medical screening slip (as obtained from the portal)were mandatory requirements for the exercise.

Mba urged candidates to stick to their allotted date and time as the exercise would be carried out in strict compliance with the COVID-19 prevention protocols.

He reiterated that the recruitment exercise is free while the medical screening would be conducted in the best tradition of transparency and professionalism.

Mba cautioned the applicants against being swindled by online fraudsters and other criminal elements who would want to take advantage of the recruitment process to defraud them.

He warned that criminals would be arrested and prosecuted, advising candidates to call 08100004507 for any inquiry, especially on the operations of the portal.
