Delta State Police Commissioner Mohammed Ari Ali
Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ari Ali, has ordered the deployment of enough policemen to Warii to ensure the peaceful coronation of the new Olu of Warri.
A report by told The SUPREME online newspaper quoted CP Ali as saying on Tuesday evening: “I’m deploying 1,000 policemen to Warri for the coronation of Olu of Warri.
“I have deployed two squads of EOD (anti bomb squads a day before the coronation to comb the entire venues.”
The CP further explained that the 1,000 policemen include Mobile Policemen, anti-terrorist and tactical teams apart from conventional policemen.
His words: “It is my responsibility to ensure peace reigns in all parts of Delta. We will not allow hoodlums to hijack the ceremony.
“Apart from the coronation we will continue to ensure that any form of criminality is curved to its barest minimum in Delta State.”
