Senator Uche Ekwunife, chairman of the campaign team for the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, has promised that PDP’s campaign team will reach out to aggrieved members of the party to appeal to them to join in the task of retaking the Agu-Awka seat of power.

Speaking at the inauguration of a 63-man council of the party’s governorship campaign organization in Awka, on Sunday, the lawmaker who is also representing Anambra Central senatorial zone, described Ozigbo’s emergence as a product of providence.

Ekwunife, who also contested for the ticket of PDP and came third said: “God approved Ozigbo’s candidacy and nobody can challenge it.

“We must individually and collectively work hard to ensure that PDP produce the next governor of the state come November 6, 2021.

“We have a candidate for the Anambra governorship election in the person of Valentine Ozigbo, we have to join hands together with him and also continue to urge all the aggrieved members including Sir Chris Uba to support Ozigbo for his project.

“I accepted to chair the organization with all my heart and urge other members to work wholeheartedly for the success of the project.”

In his speech, the PDP candidate, Ozigbo, hailed Ekwunife for accepting to head the party's campaign organisation saying: “I am proud of you.”

He said: “I will continue to go round, begging all the aggrieved members to join hands with me and the organisation to win the election.”

Ozigbo urged members of the council to work collectively to ensure that PDP gets to the government house.
