. . . Advises Umeh to reserve his plea and counsel for Obiano, Oye and Soludo

The Director of Media, Chukwuma Umeoji Campaign Organization, Comrade Chukwubuikem Uloka, has described the plea by former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Senator Victor Umeh, as an emotional blackmail that cannot stand.

Umeh had urged Umeoji not to take his fight to regain his mandate to the Supreme Court, while pleading with him to forgive and forget whatever wrong that was done to him in the past to save the party.

But the Umeoji camp insisted that the judgment of the Kano Appeal Court was a miscarriage of justice and has already filed an appeal to further challenge the decision at the apex court.

In a statement made available to journalists on Saturday in Awka, Uloka said “the late hour crocodile tears of a divisive actor in the APGA party cannot stop the move to restore the mandate given to Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji by the entire members of APGA.”

He advised Umeh to reserve his plea and counsel for Willie Obiano, Victor Oye and Charles Soludo, noting that the camp of Chukwuma Umeoji are hopeful of a favourable outcome at the apex court as their lawyers have vowed not to leave any stone unturned in their quest to restore hope to the APGA party through the courtrooms.

The statement partly reads: “Umeh has confirmed that what they got from Kano Court is miscarriage of Justice which won’t stand the test of time and more marathon legal actions, rather a pyrrhic victory and temporal setback for APGA and Umeoji.

“The law court is the last hope of the common man and it is our right to challenge the matter to the Apex court which we believe would correct the anomalies done by the Appeal Court in Kano.

“Umeh should be told in plain language that he too contributed to the numerous issues of APGA by turning himself as a divisive tool. Gone are the days when men of character and value would allow divisive tool play on their emotions and sensibility.

“It is on record that the Kano Appeal Court Special panel erred on many grounds, they overruled themselves and did not even give a clear judgment on whether it is Jude Okeke/Umeoji or Oye/Soludo rather a set aside order of the Jigawa Judgement which further compound woes for the party.

“Our team of lawyers are already at the Supreme Court to have this madness and gross judicial rascality interpreted and justice served rightly.”

Uloka called on Soludo supporters to stop jubilating over the Kano Appeal Court judgement that favoured Soludo, as the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the November 6, 2021 governorship election in Anambra State.

He said: “The fact remains that Professor Charles Soludo is not yet the candidate of APGA and can never be.

“He is rather celebrating nothingness and it won’t be too long before the law catches up with his camp.”

Umeh, who is the Chairman of the Peace/Reconciliation Committee, had called on Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji, whom they believed lost the ticket of the party following the latest judgment of the Kano Appeal Court that set aside the judgement of Musa Ubale of Birinin Kudu High Court in Jigawa State, to sheathe his sword.
