There is no bad publicity in life - whether it’s good or bad news about you - although no one wants bad news reported about them. So, all we ought to do as much as possible is to keep a clean record steadily, and never want to be in the headlines for the wrong reasons.
The Nigerian system has been programmed and channelled for deceit and many other vices that have eaten deeply into the whole economy and every sphere of the Nigerian citizenry. As for the reason why these evil acts have persisted, it is only the Supreme Being that can explain those past ordeals to us, because we tend to live by our day-to-day activities and they are being shattered by the illicit and deceitful acts of most people parading themselves as leaders in various Nigerian communities.
The Federal Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Alli Pantami, was recently linked to different acts of terrorism, according to the past speeches he made. The Presidency backed him up by saying it was due to his youthful exuberance that made him utter the said vulgar terrorist statements, which today, we can’t explain in today's Nigeria if it is what has contributed to the constant hit of terrorist attacks in the Northern region of Nigeria. Although, extensively, the act of terrorism is spreading to other regions of the country.
The agitators of the Independent Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has also been proscribed as terrorists, because of their incessant agitations for the departure of the Igbo from Nigeria (for obvious reasons of cumulative injustice), The most crucial part of these scenarios is that Nigerian governments since independence has always found individuals or organisations to blame for her economic woes.
The ovation seems loudest when a notable figure in the Nigerian society justifies his evil act on the media by sponsoring news stories and public relations opinion articles to skew his evil acts and paint himself white with a new brush, squeaky clean to portray himself or herself as a saint and, afterwards, within a few weeks or a few months no one will talk about how those personalities have ruined a great nation.
One-time Petroleum minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke and a few other looters of the Nigerian treasury made the headlines for only a few months, and nothing is being said about them; no more till date. The only thing we manage to hear today is recovered loots of those stolen public funds, which we have not heard meaningful infrastructural projects executed with the said recovered looted funds.
The point I try to make as a notable and a well-oriented researcher is not to nail anyone, because, definitely, no one is a saint in this world. However, when over hundred millions of Nigerians suffer because of you, then the life you claim to have is worthless; and, therefore, only the Almighty God can really forgive such people. Sequentially, when we talk about Nigeria owning vast natural and human resources mismanaged by a few elites to the detriment of the populace - because they are privileged to be at the helms of affair - millions of who are suffering for your greed, then it is only God, if you believe in Ye, that can truly forgive them. The pantaloons cannot repent; not so soon because the system died long ago.
There is no solution to be proffered, not until the same old and haggard-looking leaders grow older, retire, and relocate to their villages and let the prospective youths of this generation step in and take over the leadership mantle and transform the country into a better state, economically and in all ramifications. Perhaps, Nigeria could even be reconstructed to match the so-called developed countries like USA, UK, and some parts of Asia and, maybe, Australia.
There was also a time a former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, was alleged to have forged her WAEC certificate. But, it was only talked about for weeks and the party was over within a minute, These are critical issues to be talked but no one would write an article to digress and pinpoint the factuality and consequences of forging a major examination certificate to attain a top position in the cabinet of a serving President of a country.
My name is Michael Nifty Ayodeji Aribisala, the man behind so many published articles by News Express Nigeria, a globally well-recognised pad for journalism. He is a man of few words, so the point I try to make might not numerically sum up about 20,000 words, but the few points made will ingest perfectly well and be digested into the deepest part of the digestive system of every reader of my published articles posted on the Internet.
