I take home that the beloved late Yinka Odumakin “dug deeper than the deep!” and was an “encyclopedia of positive activism.”

A genuine nationalist Yinka believed in the essence of a “true” federalism, equity, fairness and justice to all; who lived for the poor and the down-trodden.

You believed in freedom as a free-born son of O’odua and the right to life of human beings in addition to the dignity of humanity.

Be rest-assured that the ideals you lived and died for will come to pass; if not now but, certainly soon.

My most sincere empathy and condolences go to your beloved wife, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin and your entire family.

It is not how far but, how well lived.

You have left an indelible mark on the soil of time. The vacuum you left behind will be hard to fill.

May God Almighty grant your family and all of us the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

Live on comrade! Rest in peace in eternity!

You will be greatly missed for a very long time to come.
