Chief Martin Onovo, for­mer presidential candidate of the National Conscience Party (NCP) has accused the nation’s ruling All Pro­gressives Congress (APC) of directly sponsored inse­curity in the country.

Onovo, Head, Policy Posi­tions, Movement for Funda­mental Change (MFC), stated that from the confession of Al­haji Kawu Baraje, former APC national chieftain, the party brought the foreign terrorists for the 2015 elections.

The politician, who spoke toDAILY INDEPENDENT, stated: “We have confirmed his confession with hard ev­idence from some terror inci­dents and the testimonies of so many credible authorities.

“These terrorists are em­boldened as they presume that they installed the Mu­hammadu Buhari govern­ment and thereby, have its support.

“They know that the Bu­hari government cannot act decisively to restrain them. So, they continue to act with even more impunity.”

Onovo said that Nigerians should not forget the confir­mation of Sheik Gumi that Nigerian security forces know exactly where the ter­rorist camps were located.

According to him, “we understand the attempted as­sassination of Gov. Ortom, an opposition party member, as a bold attempt by these foreign APC terrorists to demonstrate their dominance, intimidate and subdue our indigenous peoples. (Daily INDEPENDENT)
