Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, on Thursday congratulated Prof. Sylvester Monye as he clocks 62 years.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, the governor commended the Professor of International Business for his tremendous achievements and quality contribution to the public service as an administrator of repute.

He particularly commended Monye for his role in the process leading to successful concessioning of Asaba International Airport.

Okowa acknowledged that Monye had brought his wealth of experience as a former Presidential Adviser on Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation, to bear on his role as Senior Policy Adviser to him.

“Over the years you have brought honour and pride to your kindred in Onicha-Ugbo community and Deltans for your outstanding accomplishments in teaching and research which you exemplified over time.

“You have, by dint of hard work and discipline, attained the enviable position of professor, the pinnacle of your career, for many years standing.

“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I congratulate you, my brother and friend, Prof. Sylvester Monye, as you celebrate your 62nd birth anniversary on March 4, 2021.

“At 62, your family and indeed, your associates and admirers have cause to be grateful to Almighty God for having granted you a life of great accomplishments and abiding fulfillment,” Okowa added.
