The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) says Nigeria is divinely indivisible notwithstanding the country’s challenges.
The spokesman of BCS, Elder Edet Archibong, said this on Tuesday in Enugu during a press conference to usher in week-long activities for the Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars (ABAS) Peace March, Enugu 2021.
Archibong, who is a patriarch in BSC, said that what Nigeria and Nigerians require is patience and with time most of the country’s challenges would gradually disappear naturally.
According to him, one of the greatest undoing of the country today is lack of patience over issues; and we are over agitating about things.
“His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu has prophesied severally that Nigeria as a country remains a divine arrangement from God and no amount of challenges can destroy or divide the country.
“But our basic problem as a people united by God in 1914 till day is impatience over issues.
“God did not only join us as a divine entity but gave Nigeria more than enough to survive and be the best in terms of wealth and human intellectual resources.
“Each of the 36 states and the FCT is naturally endowed with abundance to make our people wealthy and live above poverty line,” he said.
The spokesman said that with love, the nation can surmount most of its challenges and ensure that no Nigeria is left behind in our march to greatness as ordained by God.
“The lack of love among us all has brought us to where we are today. There is excessive greed and lack of consideration for the other man.
“If we can love our neighbours as ourselves and fear God in all our deals, this country will be revived within a few years and we will take our rightful place in the world and history,” he said.
On the week-long ABAS Peace March, Enugu 2021; Archibong said that the theme of the Peace March is, “The Giver of Peace is Here on Earth,’ while the march goes with the slogan: “My Peace I Give Unto You”.
He said that on Monday, March 1, there was visitation and evangelism throughout the South-East; while on Tuesday and Wednesday press briefing as well as courtesy visit and watch-and-pray respectively.
“On Thursday, we have general fasting and accreditation of states; and Friday will be for evangelism, indoor sports competition and variety evening at Okpara Square.
“On Saturday will be the grand finale; which will consist of an international peace march, international peace conference, special performance, poetry competition finals, Holy Father address and award ceremony,” he added.
