IGP assures foreign envoys of adequate security

Inspector General of the Police, IGP Solomon Arase, has directed Command Commissioners of Police to provide adequate Security for all foreign nationals, especially missionaries living in their jurisdictions.

This directive was issued after the IGP received the Ambassador of Republic of Ireland, His Excellency Sean Hoy at the Force Headquarters on Tuesday. The IGP equally assured the Ambassador that Foreign Missions in Nigeria will continue to receive adequate security coverage.

The Ambassador, who was at the Force Headquarter on a working visit, used the occasion to congratulate the Inspector- General of Police on his appointment and had discussion with the IGP on areas of interest of his mission.
