Court rules on Nyakoâ€™s impeachment May 22

AFederal High Court yesterday deferred ruling till May 22 in the suit filed by the former Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, challenging his impeachment by the state House of Assembly.

The trial judge, Justice Bilkisu Aliyu, adjourned the case after the adoption of the written addresses of the parties.

Counsel to the former governor, Ogunyele Olukoya, had in his final submission prayed the court to quash the impeachment of Nyako since his impeachment did not follow proper procedure.
