No fewer than four persons among whom was an official of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) were killed in Argungu, Kebbi State, yesterday morning as youths in the ancient town went on rampage to avenge the killing of their members.
Eye witness account told Newswatch Times that two men ridding on motorcycle popularly called Kabukabu were stopped by men of the FRSC but did not obey which led to the officers chasing them with their vehicle and in the process crushed the two men.
Angered with this development, the Kabukabu riders association quickly mobilized, attacked the FRSC office and razed it down killing one officer in the process.
When Newswatch Times contacted FRSC Sector Commander in the State, he was not available, but a senior officer of the command who would not want his name in print confirmed the incident. He however said the situation has been brought under control.
