Good food is the most essential part of man’s survival on earth. Balanced diet is most important because getting the nutritional value out of what we consume is also critical for any healthy lifestyle. There is food shortage in Nigeria, no doubt, during this pandemic. It has taught us all the endless lessons, because Nigeria has never prepared for the worst and never will they. We are meant to live in this eternal bondage. But, some day, the Almighty God will set his people free as he set the Israelites free from the hands of the wicked Egyptians. Amen!

The total dependence on the northern part of Nigeria for food production and consumption has to be critically looked into for divergence, given the convergence of agricultural funds that are channelled only to the North by the Federal Government, and other donor agencies pumping all the financial resources only to a region. Ideally, such should have been shared with perfect total equity to other strategic regions of the country called.

It is a wonderful feeling for farmers in Nigeria with the President’s effort, approving over $6 billion in the agricultural sector of the economy. But, the judicious use of these resources is what has disturbed my heart, because of the dubiousness of most Nigerians. One really hopes that the administrative officers in charge of the funds would ensure adequate distribution of the monies to all critical parts of the country for the enhancement of and efficient agricultural production and progression.
