NIPC staff battle CEO, demand immediate sack

The staff of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) yesterday blocked the gate of the commission’s head office located at Plot 1181, Aguiyi Ironsi Street in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Chanting war songs, the irate workers demanded the immediate sack of the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of NIPC, Mrs. Saratu Umar.

The workers accused Mrs. Umar of incompetence, high-handedness, impunity, lack of capacity, arrogance, inability to threat official documents and embezzlement of NIPC funds. They alleged that Mrs. Umar was earlier sacked from NEXIM bank for fraud and incompetence.

The workers have vowed to keep up the pressure until the Federal Government accedes to heir demand and ousts Mrs. Umar.
