Entertainment mogul Mo Abu
Popular media proprietress and former human resources management consultant, Mosunmola Abudu, simply called Mo Abudu, has received serious bashing by her fans on the social media.
The 56 years old Master’s Degree holder from the University of Westminister in London on Wednesday openly expressed her support for Kamala Harris, US Democratic Party vice presidential candidate, on her Instagram page and the fans literally tore her apart.
The mother of two (a boy and a girl) formerly married to Tokunbo Abudu and who has been described by FORBES as “Africa’s Most Successful Woman”, also rated as one of the “25 Most Powerful Women in Global Television” by The Hollywood Reporter wrote: “Like or dislike @Kamalaharris, she is today a role model and reference point for the NOW and generations of black women to come. She has strength, the will and knowledge...”
But many of her followers could not hold back their displeasure against her support for Democrat Joe Biden’s running mate as depicted in some of the comments captured below:
Let’s not decieve ourselves, this is Nigeria and not America. Let’s fix our country and allow Americans fix theirs. — @viviananejukwo
She’s not a black woman, stop the misrepresentation just to invoke unnecessary sentiment. She is not black. — @lukuenzy
They’llstilllose the election. Period. — @onunuboy
What has her nomination got to do with us or is it going to change the ugly situation in Nigeria? Obama was the first elected black president of America, did that change anything in Kenya or Africa? Is Africa not even worst than it was 12 years ago with the failed system? Let's focus on our own problems and leave America alone. Stop glorifying people that do not know you even exist. — @leofreddie
We have not finished addressing the way forward in Nigeria. It is America that already has itself together that we are bothering about! — @blackmiss.boutique
She is not even black. She never identified as black. Her birth certificate reads Caucasian. Smh. — i_am_archangel
This is not what MLK Jr. died for! Stop playing the sentiment of race. We want to be judged by the content of our character not by our skin colour. Kamala Harris does not do it for me! I don’t care if she is black, pink purple or white. I want to know her records and what she is capable of doing as a leader! Y’all go check her record. — @ugo_nna1
