Angry fans launch verbal attack on Burna Boy

Embattled music star Burna Boy

This is not the best of times for singer, songwriter and great performer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu Rex, known professionally as Burna Boy.

A few days back, many fans were angry with the 29 years old Port Harcourt, Rivers State-born Grammy Awards nominee for what he tweeted.

The Afro-fusion star and self acclaimed African Giant had tweeted concerninghis concerns over the current political situation in Zimbabwe.

“#ZimbabweanslivesMatter Yoo I’m reading some wild shit. My people what’s really happening over there?”, he wrote.

But his fans talked down on him for leaving the numerous unpalatable happenings in his country Nigeria, to bother about another country.

Some of the comments reproduced below say it all:

“See self acclaim African giant ooo .. one that said no one pave the way 4 him leaving the giant of Africa to meddle into another Africa country affairs while he has never tried to lend his voice to the self acclaimed ‘giant of Africa’as a country .. ok, relax and do this .....”

Only one fan was on his side. The fan commented:

“The energy una dey take call person Ikorodu Lucky Dube, use it to call out your politicians”.
