Dr Ngige and Hon Faleke
A new musical video clip titled “Mushin Boy” has dropped.
The video released some days back has already gone viral on the social media.
The musical piece is a comical recap of the exchange of words between the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige, and James Abiodun Faleke, member representing Ikeja Lagos Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Recall that in a recent probe of some activities in his Ministry, the bearded 68 years old former governor of Anambra State was interrogated by a committee in the green chambers to which Faleke, a 61-year-old Kogi State-born politician and former executive secretary of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (Lagos) is a member.
Along the line during the interrogation, the minister flayed up and started throwing tantrums at the lawmaker, calling him an ordinary “Mushin boy” while he (Ngige) is a polished Victoria Island (VI) boy, according to him.
Note that Mushin is a suburb on the mainland part of Lagos State while Victoria Island is a highbrow area on the Island part of the state.
Below is the sum up of the lyrics of the song in the video which features some ghetto children displaying some highly entertaining dance steps:
I’m a Lagos boy
You are just a small boy in Lagos
Look at this boy
Mushin boy, Mushin
I’m a VI boy
Mushin boy, Mushin (Repeat till fade)
Ladies and gentlemen, put on your dancing shoes, jump on the dance floor and rock to this fast-tempo beat featuring the original Mushin Boy and VI Boy.
