The very first day of this month – Saturday, August 1 – was a bad day for singer, songwriter and record producer, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.

That day, the United States-born Nigerian hip hop cum Afrobeats star wept uncontrollably. He wept like a baby.

The 27 years old live-in-lover with Chioma Avril Rowland was reacting to the result of the football match in which Arsenal came from behind to beat Chelsea, his darling club, in the FA Cup final, 2-1, thus qualifying for the Europa League.

The ‘Skelewu’ exponent broke down in tears as soon as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his second goal which ended the match in favour of the Gunners.

Omo Baba Olowo (OBO) later that Saturday put his right hand (with a red wrist band) on his head with tears rolling down his cheeks, snapped a photo, posted it on his Instagram page while lamenting, “Chelsea why?”

His third Baby Mama, Chioma, was however able to take control of the situation that night.
