Veteran actor Kanayo O Kanayo KOK
Veteran actor Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, professionally known as Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK), has volunteered to consult the gods with palmwine over the Nigerian gloomy situation.
KOK who holds the national honour, Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) disclosed this move on Saturday, the day after Nigeria's Democracy Day (June 12) celebration.
According to the 58 years old Mbaise, Imo State-bornMass Communication graduate from the University of Lagos, he became angry after posting a Goodwill message with his photograph to greet Nigerians on Democracy Day but got in returnonly 303 views and 7 comments from his followers on Instagram numbering 313,000.
He said he was angry as well as surprised to realise that Nigerians have lost so much confidence in the country.
He therefore opted to approach the gods with palmwine to find out what the matter is.
“I have been very, very angry since yesterday. Yesterday I posted a picture to salute my fellow countrymen and women being Democracy Day. I was so excited about it. But guess what, I got only 303 views and 7 comments. Haba! Have Nigerians lost confidence this much in their country? That’s why I’m so worried, I don’t know how worried you are. But I had to go and get myself some palmwine to consult the gods. Cheers,” he said.
Please don’t ask me the names and where his gods locate, and whether “Professor Johnbull” who made his debut movie appearance in the film Living in Bondage in 1992 will return with any cheering news from his gods is another story all together.
Let’s just keep our fingers crossed, hoping he returns soon.
