Dr. Alex Otti, the 2019 governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State, has sent solidarity message to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, who currently has gone into isolation after testing positive for COVID-19, enjoining him to remain strong and courageous in the face of the virus.

Otti’s Solidarity message was contained in a release signed by Ferdinand Ekeoma, his media Assistant and made available to newsmen in Umuahia on Tuesday.

He described the governor’s decision to go into Isolation after testing positive for COVID19 as a way of instilling confidence in other citizens who were also hit by the virus, and called on all Abians to take the pandemic very seriously.

Otti received the news of the latest cases of COVID-19 in Abia State, which saw 67 residents testing positive for the virus, including some members of the state executive council.

“Most saddening is the case of the state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, who also tested positive.

“Dr. Otti hereby sends his best wishes of quick recovery and sincere solidarity to the governor, members of the state executive council and other citizens who tested positive to the virus.

“Otti uses the opportunity to remind residents of the state that viruses act very mysteriously, and sometimes strike with unpredictable speed and surprise, hence the need for Abians to do away with doubts and carelessness, but rather adhere to every professional advice and apply individual and institutional safety measures required to remain safe.
