Nigerian troops are now in full control of Mafa town in Borno State after clearing Boko Haram terrorists from the town on Wednesday evening.
A statement issued yesterday by Defence Headquarters said “troops are now in full control of Mafa, Borno State, after completing the operation to clear terrorists from the town yesterday evening.”
This is yet another gain by Nigerian troops, who have in quick succession routed terrorists from over 30 communities in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states in the last few weeks.
The liberated towns include Gulak, Shikah, Fikayel, Tetebah, Buza, Kamla, Bumsa, Monguno, Marte, Gamboru Ngala, Dikwa and Baga.
