The President, Igbakwu Peace Movement (IPM), Mr. Uchenna Ndubuisi, has called on the panel of inquiry on the protracted Omor/Igbakwu boundary dispute to hasten its work and send their recommendations to the State Government for immediate consideration and implementation.
He said that an urgent release of the resolution to government will help to stem any heinous plans by any of the two feuding communities and also forestall another invasion.
Speaking Tuesday in Awka, the state capital, Ndubuisi described the people of Igbakwu, in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State as kind-hearted people with respect for the rule of law and constituted authority.
He also referred to them as crusaders of peace.
Ndubuisi said: “It is necessary to build a Police Post in the community, because Igbakwu people would be ready to donate a parcel of land for the project.”
While urging the state Government to consider it, he noted that such a post in the community would forestall any form of attacks, counter attacks and other forms of crimes within the area.
