Thirteen ships, laden with foods, general cargo and petroleum products, have arrived various ports across Lagos State waiting to berth.

Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said yesterday through its daily shipping position, disclosing that four of the ships arrived with petrol, while one brought kerosene.

The agency added that six of the ships sailed into the ports with rice, while two came in with general cargo and crude palm oil.

According to it, 41 other ships are expected in the ports between February 25 and March 24, while 17 of the expected ships would arrive with containers as well as seven and three coming in with petrol and kerosene respectively.

NPA also said three other ships would bring base oil, bulk gas and diesel, while frozen fish, rice, bulk salt and bulk sugar would come in six ships and the remaining five ships would sail in with general cargo.
