A frontline woman activist and opinion leader, Hadjia Khairat Animashaun Ajiboye, has made a proposal, calling for legislation to make stealing of public funds an offence with capital punishment.

Ajiboye fondly called KAA in a campaign nugget she forwarded to various platforms on Saturday said,

"I propose we start drumming support for DEATH PENALTY (emphasis hers) for those that misdirect or steal NIGERIA public funds!KAA-Mrs K"

Explaining the thrust of her campaign further, Ajiboye who is also the Head of Operations and Administration of the Nigerian Intervention Movement (NIM) a.k.a The 3rd Force said,

"I agree that it will not stop there, but we can start having the conversation. Strengthening our institutions is going to be part of the Strategic planning. There however must be a conscious psychological ‘law of the land’ with accompanied strength of the adjudication and execution arms to effect its conclusion.

"Imagine where we get a major by-in, (by the people at large and from every corner of our nation) into this concept of DEATH PENALTY for those who through every and any means Cart away with our collective wealth, we can then start sanitizing other aspects of the polity and start focusing on development plans for the nation. We will need to try to correct a lot of ills but more fundamentally is to focus on a renewed future where we can find some subtle inner comfort that the rule of law will prevail."

"A lot of work needs to be done concurrently. We however need to start thinking of a way out, or this country will suffer much more than Rwanda .... We know our problem ... “a protracted wicked greed” in all phase of our communal existence! We have all the other solutions! Our people are some of the brightest minds in the world! We know what to do ‘to fix’ this nation! WE ONLY LACK the decency of some integrity in public and I dare say private or home/family offices! The tendency to always want to outsmart or outplay albeit deceptively is our common trace.

"We have to start changing narratives of our conversations. That is why I hardly participate in any solution oriented conversations anymore! Because we already know what to do! Let take it to the next level- ‘Democrazy’ or not," she narrated.
