The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), on Thursday said it would publish the names of all its debtors, including airlines, concessionaires and other service providers at all Nigerian airports.
This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja, by the General Manager, Corporate Affairs of the agency, Mr. Yakubu Dati.
The statement advised affected customers to approach the authority’s Debt Recovery Department at its headquarters and its airport managers across the country with relevant documents to reconcile their accounts with the authority.
It said the publication of the names would be a prelude to other measures designed to help the authority to recover all its outstanding debts.
Dati said in the statement: “FAAN wishes to notify all its debtors, including airlines, concessionaires and other service providers, at all Nigerian airports, that the authority will soon publish a list of debtors in major Nigerian newspapers.
“The authority is constrained to take this measure because the level of indebtedness to it may soon begin to take a toll on its services which should not be allowed to happen.”
