Cross section of Anambra Police officers during the training on COVID-19 prevention, control

The Medical Services unit of the Anambra State Police Command on Monday hosted a one-day training for its health officers in the state on the COVID-19 infection and its prevention and control.
The training, which the Police hosted in collaboration with National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) is aimed at imbibing police health officials with the basic skills needed to prevent the spread of the dreaded pandemic among officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force who are at the forefront of enforcing government lockdown order.
Addressing participants at the training session held at the Command Conference hall, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Abang, enjoined them to pay attention to the training in order to get the requisite knowledge about the deadly virus and how to prevent it's spread through prevention and control measures.
He said: "Curbing the spread of Covid-19 will be beneficial to the entire officers and men in the Command.
The training was facilitated by Dr Jane Ezeonu of NCDC and the Command Medical Officer, Dr Emelike Chinenyen.
