The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has discovered a dead body lying in front of Pentecost University, Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.

In a statement by the state Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASC, Okadigbo Edwin, he said, "On the 14/04/2020 at about 09:45am , there was a report at NSCDC, Ekwusigo Divisional office that amaledead body was found lyingalong Owerri-Onitsha express way by Eze river, in front ofPENTICOST University Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area .

"Following the report, the Divisional Officer CSC Deborah Anigbogu, rushed to the scene and discovered a male dead body lying in front of Penticost University Ozubulu.

"Photograph was taken and the area cordoned off."

He said that preliminary investigationrevealed that the young man was killed by unknown persons and the lifeless body dumped on Monday night.

According to her, the President General, PG of Ozubulu has been coomunicated as well as the Environmental Health Department of the Ekwusigo Local Government to evacuate the corpse in order to avert health hazard to the members of the public living in the area.

Okadogbo addex that the state Commandant of NSCDC, CC David Billehas a discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
