Comedian AY
On Thursday, comedian Ayodeji Richard Makun, popularly known by his stage name AY, posted what he called “Live Video Chat With @idriselba”.
In the said video which he posted on his Instagram page and which enjoyed about 300,000 views as at time of going to press, the Ondo State-born Theater Art graduate from Delta State University Abraka said: “Without our health, we’ve got nothing going on. Let’s keep thanking God everyday for good health. Let’s say a word of prayer (for) everyone who tested positive for coronavirus.”
A fan by account name hazel_hippi immediately took up the comedian who spent nine years in the university pursuing his first degree from that point.
He condemned the comedian for using a “fake” accent in the said video clip.
“AY, you don't have to FAKE an accent to talk with anyone. Self confidence is extremely important. Know who you are,” advised the fan.
AY, next time, know that your fans are watching your every steps. Please watch your “fone” henceforth. Speak in Naija tongue for all to understand. You hear?
