Former Vice President Alex Ekwueme, Niger Delta elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, and Yoruba elder statesman, Chief Femi Okunroumu, have called for the arrest of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega.
A news flash by the Abuja-based LEADERSHIP said the southern leaders accuse Jega of connivance with Northern Elders Forum (NEF) in connection with the February 2015 elections.
Ekwueme, Clark and Okurounmu are chieftains of the Southern Nigeria People’s Assembly (SNPA), a platform which they have used in the recent past to accuse Jega of being desperate to ensure that power returns to the North by allegedly cheating the South in the distribution of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) and creation of more additional polling units in the North.
