Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for re-election during this month’s presidential poll.
Ohanaeze endorsed Jonathan at about 1:30 p.m. during a meeting at its national secretariat of the organisation in Enugu. The meeting was presided over by Ohanaeze President General, Chief Gary Enwo-Igariwey.
News Express had this morning exclusively reported that Ohanaeze would endorse Jonathan today in Enugu for the February 14 presidential election.
Jonathan’s main challenger, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had earlier written to seek an audience with the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. News Express could not confirm if the request had been granted as at the time of this report.
