A-list Nigerian actress and producer, Olufunke Ayotunde Akindele, simply known as Funke Akindele has voluntarily turn herself to a Marlian.

The 42 years old Master’s degree holder in Geology from the University of Lagos stylishly announced her new status as the latest Nigerian celebrity to become a Marlian when she posted her picture on the social media trying to do some dancing steps like Naira Marley.

Jennifer, as she is popularly called due to her lead role in her own produced TV sitcom, Jennifer’s Diary, later asked,

“How does @nairamarley do that neck thing?”

With this, Funke has further swollen the ranks of Nigerian celebrities to become fans of 25 years old Afrobeats and Hip Hop maestro Azeez Fashola, popularly called Naira Marley.

Fans of Naira Marley refer to themselves as Marlians. Maggie’s Blog refers to them as soldiers of the “Marlian Army”.
