The Nigerian military has successfully reclaimed its official website after hours of occupation by hackers.

As earlier reported by News Express, www.defenceinfo.mil.ng was taken over in the wee hours of today by hackers, who posted the hooded image of what appears to be a young man on the Homepage, which the hackers turned into black with a marching song loudly playing and the following written message:

!!.. Hacked by Mawakk4Sur ..!!

Hello Admin, You IDIOT=))

Checks by News Express showed that the site is up again and running. Director of Defence Information, Brig.-Gen. Chris Olukolade, had told News Express around 8am that the problem would soon be resolved. “We’re already handling it,” Olukolade had said via sms.
